Applesauce!

Several students have been talking about apples lately and their adventures with apple picking and baking with apples. Today we made applesauce together in a crockpot. Our classroom smelled amazing and the kids were soooo excited to try it! Students especially loved using the apple peeler/corer/ slicer. Several students noticed how the juice was squirting out from the apple as they peeled it.

We wanted to write out our recipe so that we could share it with others.

Ms. Leigh showed us the parts of the apple including the "star" in the middle.

Ms. Leigh had students taste test a variety of apples and they used great descriptive words such as sour, sweet and juicy.
